Systems tend to fail at the worst time: the hottest afternoon of September, the coldest night of December, the evening before a holiday. Our shop is on Bay Street in Irvington, close to every Fremont neighborhood, and our on-call technician carries the parts most likely to get you running tonight.
What counts as an emergency
- No heat when overnight temperatures drop into the 30s or 40s
- No cooling during a heat advisory, especially for seniors, infants or anyone with medical needs
- Water leaking from a water heater, furnace or air handler
- Burning or electrical smell from HVAC equipment
- Carbon monoxide alarm sounding (leave first, then call 911)
What to do while you wait
If you smell gas, leave the house and call PG&E at 1-800-743-5000 or 911 from outside. If a water heater is leaking, close the cold-water valve on top and turn the gas control to pilot or off. If your AC iced up, switch it to fan only to melt the ice. These steps protect your home and often speed the AC repair or furnace repair once we arrive.
Fair after-hours pricing
We tell you the after-hours dispatch fee on the phone. If the problem can safely wait until morning, we will say so and save you the fee. Comfort Club members on the Complete plan pay no after-hours charges.
